About the neighborhood
Greenland Hills was developed primarily during the 1920s and 1930s and is best known for one of Dallas's strongest concentrations of Tudor Revival homes. The neighborhood's distinctive architecture, brick streetscapes, mature canopy, and central location have made it one of the city's most recognizable residential districts.
The area is protected by Conservation District No. 9, commonly called the M Streets Conservation District. The district was established to conserve the neighborhood's architectural and cultural character while guiding renovation, additions, and new construction.
